My Hush Keeps Dropping Connection?

Be aware of distance!

First, note that Hush is intended to be used with your smartphone nearby on a bedside stand. There is a limitation in low energy Bluetooth technology to how far your earplugs can be from your phone!

Troubleshooting Steps (Android)

If distance is not the problem, the first debug step to try is to reset your Bluetooth connections.

Reset your bluetooth connection

For Android, you need to go “Settings” > “Bluetooth” > and then toggle the switch off, then back on.
The next thing to do is to restart your smartphone.

Restart your smartphone

Hold down the power button and select the option to turn off the device.

Once the device is fully powered off, go ahead and power the device back on.

Reset your earplugs

If your earplug is up to date, you are able to reset your earplugs by plugging them into the charge case 10 times in a row. Each earplug plug-in should be done at a pace of 2 seconds in, 2 seconds out. Make sure that the lights are glowing blue each time you plug the earplugs in – sometimes the charge case may be slow to detect it.

If you have tried resetting your Bluetooth connections, restarting your smartphone, and resetting your earplugs, but are still facing unstable Bluetooth connection issues with consistent disconnects, please email us at support@hush.technology with your:

1) Smartphone model number
2) Smartphone OS version
3) Hush serial number (14 digit alphanumeric found on the bottom of the charge case)
4) Description of what you tried and what symptoms you’re still experiencing.
